My father used to tell me stories of skating on canals as a child. He always took us skating - even my little brother when he was still in the back carrier. It had a metal frame that could slide on the ice. Our park had an ice rink every winter when I was a child. Looks like you had a wonderful time! I hope you're staying warm in the very cold weather.
